Democrat convention pushes hoax about Trump supporters on January 6
The Democratic National Convention was four days of nonstop bashing of former President Donald Trump and his running mate, U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH).
Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) parroted one of the many hoaxes Democrats created about January 6 to attack Vance.
He went on a fact-free tirade about how Trump supporters on that day were planning to kill former Vice President Mike Pence.
“Remember what the mob chanted as they stormed the Capitol?” Raskin ranted. “Hang Mike Pence.”
There’s no evidence that ever happened.
It’s another hoax that Democrats have created about January 6.
“J.D. Vance, do you understand why there was a sudden job opening for running mate on the GOP ticket? They tried to kill your predecessor!” Raskin raved. “They tried to kill him because he would not follow Trump’s plan to destroy and nullify the votes of millions of Americans.”
This is another lie that Democrats created because January 6 is something they think they can use as a political cudgel against Republicans.
J.D. Vance smacks down January 6 hoax
CNN host Jake Tapper tried to play gotcha with Vance during an interview.
“Do you have any reservations at all taking, the ticket, taking the opportunity to serve as a Vice Presidential nominee, given what happened to Vice President Pence on January 6th?” Tapper asked.
Vance wasn’t going to play CNN’s game.
“No, not at all, Jake. And look, I can’t help but laugh at what Jamie Raskin said,” Vance said. “These are people who somehow always make themselves the victims.”
He took Raskin to task for missing the big picture.
“Jamie Raskin should be much more worried about the fact that there are a lot of Americans that can’t afford to buy groceries, that can’t afford to put their children in a nice home because of the policies that he has implemented and he has voted for,” Vance explained.
Raskin spent his entire convention speech ranting and raving about January 6.
“I just don’t understand a person in American politics in 2024 who’s whining about what happened to them, instead of using their leadership and using their influence to make the lives of American citizens better,” Vance said.
The mission for Vance is to make the lives of the American people better.
“I have no reservations about taking this job, because I know that if we make Donald J. Trump President of the United States, he’s going to deliver rising wages, lower prices, and a secure border,” Vance stated. “That is all worth it for me. Whatever the media or Jamie Raskin says about me.”
Democrats went light on policy and heavy on Trump bashing during their convention.
They’re trying to act like Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t in power, so that’s why they’re skipping policy for attacks.
