Swift announces the end of her “Eras” tour
Taylor Swift began her record-setting “Eras” tour on March 17, 2023, with a show in Glendale, Arizona.
Swift took the occasion of her show in Liverpool to announce that the “Eras” tour would end in December.
“This has definitely been the most exhausting but all-encompassing, most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life, this tour,” Swift told a sold-out crowd of 60,000 at legendary Anfield Stadium.
Swift said this was the 100th show on the “Eras” tour, which made it just as good a time as any to reveal that it was coming to an end.
“That blows my mind. That doesn’t feel like a real statistic for me,” Swift stated.
“And I think, I think you know — how are you gonna celebrate the 100th show? And for me, like, the celebration of the 100th show to me means, this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is gonna end in December, like, that’s it!” Swift added.
Swift opens up to her fans
There are 152 shows scheduled for the “Eras” tour with both domestic and international legs.
“And that feels like so far away from now, but then again it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so much fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150 something shows that we have on the whole tour,” Swift continued.
Swift explained to her fans that the tour was all-encompassing and she needed to remember what having a life was like where she could enjoy her hobbies and just experience what it’s like to be at home as opposed to traveling from city to city and living out of hotel suites.
“And you know, I think that this tour has really become my entire life, like it’s become — has taken over everything,” Swift remarked.
“I think I want to have hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore!” Swift exclaimed.

Being a star of this magnitude also means Swift understands the concept of maintaining your popularity also means knowing when to exit the spotlight.
It’s the principle of, “How can we miss you if you never go away?”

And even though she delivered some bad news about the end of her tour, Swift made sure to leave the fans on a high note, telling them she would spend her hiatus working on music for her next project.
“All I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever, like acoustic song mashups and think of what you wanna hear,” Swift reassured the crowd.
“Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort you put in to be with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows, so thank you!” Swift declared.
