While mainstream artists were fleeing Freedom 250 like the stage was on fire, one of hip-hop's biggest names was quietly making very different plans.
Don Jr’s Executive Branch – the $500,000-a-year MAGA club tucked beneath a Georgetown mall – has been booking a rap lineup that puts the official America 250 concerts to shame.
The man who told the world he turned down $3 million to stay out of Trump politics just agreed to perform at the most exclusive club on the eve of America's 250th birthday – and he never said a word publicly.
The Club Democrats Can't Stop Talking About
Sources told the Daily Beast that 50 Cent will take the stage at Executive Branch on July 3.
He follows a lineup that already includes Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Timbaland, Nelly, and Akon – the artists your kids played at every party from 2000 to 2015.
The club operates out of an unmarked basement off Wisconsin Avenue, in the same Georgetown space that used to host karaoke nights and pool tournaments.
Now it hosts the people running America.

Members reportedly include White House AI czar David Sacks, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, State Department Under Secretary Jacob Helberg, and Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Laura Ingraham.
Donald Trump Jr. co-founded the club alongside investment banker Omeed Malik and Christopher Buskirk of 1789 Capital, with founding memberships capped at around 200 – and demand already exceeding that.
This isn't a social club.
This is where American power actually gathers.
50 Cent's Very Public About-Face
In October 2024, 50 Cent went on The Breakfast Club and made a point of telling the world he was staying out of Trump politics.
He said he'd turned down $3 million to perform at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.
"I'm afraid about politics," he explained. "It's because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you."
He used Kanye West as his cautionary tale – "That's the formula for the confusion that sent Kanye to Japan."
His history with Trump goes back further than 2024.

In 2019, he told reporters that Trump personally offered him $500,000 to attend the first inauguration – and he passed, saying "every dollar is not a good dollar."
In 2020, he publicly endorsed Trump before reversing course under pressure with a social media "F*** Trump."
After Trump won in 2024, 50 Cent posted photos with him and wrote, "I don't care how the fight goes, I'm leaving with the winner."
The pattern is completely consistent: 50 Cent reads the room, hedges publicly, and then shows up where the power actually is.
On July 3, the power is at the Executive Branch.
What This Tells You About the Cultural Moment
While Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Morris Day and the Time, and Young MC were publicly bailing on Freedom 250 over "politicization," Don Jr. was quietly booking 50 Cent for July 3.
That's the real story here.
The same artists who lecture Americans about courage and authenticity fold the moment real money and real access are on the table – because performing for Adam Schiff's crowd doesn't get you in a room with the Secretary of Commerce and the people who funded Trump's comeback.

Democrats spent months screaming that the Executive Branch was corrupt, exclusionary, and a symbol of MAGA cronyism.
Adam Schiff called it a place "for insiders, for investors and billionaires to directly line the pockets of the first family."
The people writing those checks – and now performing on that stage – clearly see it differently.
Here's what the left refuses to say out loud: Don Jr. built a room that everyone wants to be in, and the best rap lineup of America's 250th birthday week is happening inside it.
The man who turned down $3 million to avoid Trump politics just walked into the building anyway.
He just made sure nobody could accuse him of showing up for free.
