Voters in Trump country gave Joe Biden this wake-up call on the American Dream

The country has gone into a steep decline during Joe Biden’s failed Presidency.

Life is getting harder for people in most of the country.

And voters in Trump country gave Joe Biden this wake-up call on the American Dream.

President Joe Biden has seen the American Dream slip out of reach for many people across the country.

After he unleashed the worst inflation in four decades, America is dealing with a cost-of-living crisis.

Many of life’s major milestones, like homeownership and retirement, have been pushed off or abandoned altogether.

Residents in rural Missouri town weigh in on the American Dream

Fox News traveled to the Ozark Mountains to ask residents in Noel, Missouri, if it’s still possible to achieve the American Dream.

The town of less than 2,000 residents in the very southwestern corner of Missouri is in a county that former President Donald Trump carried with more than 82% of the vote in the 2020 election.

Some residents said the American Dream is dead, but others still have hope for Joe Biden’s America.

“The American dream is there,” Nate told Fox News. “It’s just people gotta put the right foot forward, make the right decisions.”

“You go to school, you get an education, you find a job, right? You get married, raise kids, get involved with the communities, and hopefully they live a good life,” Nate added.

Another man named Don told Fox News that it was gone.

“It was the American Dream to come here and make yourself. And that’s just kind of gone,” Don said. “It’s getting too hard.”

Most Americans think the American Dream is gone

A Wall Street Journal/NORC survey from last November showed only 36% of voters think that the American Dream still exists.

That was down from 53% in 2012.

Half of all voters in the poll said that life in America is worse than what it was 50 years ago.

A January ABC News/Ipsos poll found that only 27% of respondents thought the American Dream was alive, which was down from 50% in 2010.

“I think it’s struggling,” Theresa told Fox News about the American Dream. “People want what their parents had, and there’s just not the possibility of what your parents had, because this isn’t the same economy.”

Theresa’s sister added that “people can’t afford anything. They can’t afford to buy a house. They can’t afford to rent a house.”

A recent Harris Thought Leadership and Future Practice poll found that 84% of Americans would rather own a home than rent one, but a staggering 61% of renters were concerned that they would never be able to afford a home.

Noel Mayor Terry Lance told Fox News that it’s become hard to achieve.

“It’s alive. It’s harder to reach, but it’s alive,” Lance said. “But it could be made easier to reach, too. We just need to elect the right people.”

Joe Biden’s failed policies are pushing the American Dream further away from the people he claims he’s helping.
