This conservative star is rising to the top of the shortlist to be Donald Trump’s running mate

The speculation is heating up about who could join Donald Trump on the GOP ticket.

One of the GOP’s brightest new faces is now getting buzz.

And this conservative star is rising to the top of the shortlist to be Donald Trump’s running mate.

The shortlist is beginning to take shape for the candidates who could be former President Donald Trump’s running mate.

He confirmed that many names are in the running, including Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and Fox News contributor Tulsi Gabbard.

According to a new report, one of the rising stars of the America First wing of the GOP is now shooting up the list.

J.D. Vance (R-OH) gets a big boost after the Ohio GOP Primary

This year’s Ohio Republican Senate Primary was a proxy battle between Trump and the Republican establishment.

State Senator Matt Dolan (R-OH) had the backing of establishment Republicans like Governor Mike DeWine (R) and former U.S. Senator and Bush administration official Rob Portman (R-OH).

He had almost limitless financial resources coming from the billionaire family that owns the Cleveland Guardians baseball team.

Trump endorsed Cleveland car dealer Bernie Moreno in the Primary after U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) urged him to.

Polls showed a tight race before the March election, and Vance convinced Trump to hold a last-minute rally in Dayton for Moreno.

Moreno won every county in the state on the way to a landslide victory.

Vance’s political stock skyrocketed after the Moreno victory.

The 39-year-old Senator is considered one of the young rising stars in the Party.

“J.D. has got an incredible future,” GOP consultant Alex Bruesewitz said. “What does that look like? I’m not quite sure at this moment. But when you look at conservatives who are younger and have their finger on the pulse of the MAGA movement, there aren’t many, and J.D. is certainly one of them.”

Vance brings two qualities to the table that Trump reportedly values in any potential Vice Presidential pick, which are loyalty and a winning reputation.

In an interview on ABC News’ This Week in January, he said that he wouldn’t have certified the 2020 election if he had served as Vice President.

“If I had been Vice President, I would have told the states that we needed to have multiple slates of electors and I think the U.S. Congress should have fought over it from there,” Vance said.

J.D. Vance downplays speculation about joining the ticket

Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked Vance about the possibility of becoming Trump’s running mate.

“I’ve never actually spoken to the President about VP speculation. My simple answer is, I wanna help him however I can,” Vance said. “If he asks me, of course, I would think seriously about it. It would be a great honor.”

With Trump’s term-limited, his Vice President would become the instant front-runner for the 2028 GOP nomination.

If he becomes Vice President, J.D. Vance could become the heir to Trump’s political movement and could keep the America First agenda moving forward.
