Democrats would be happy if all of Donald Trump’s trials could take place in Washington, D.C.
It’s a kangaroo court dominated by Democrat judges and a jury pool where 95 percent voted against Trump.
And now Donald Trump got this bad news from the court in Washington, D.C.
Democrat judge gives the green light to more lawfare against Donald Trump
Democrats keep filing court cases against Donald Trump in the District of Columbia because dissidents in North Korea stand a better chance of getting a fair trial than a Republican does in the nation’s Capital.
It’s long been established by the Supreme Court that Presidents are immune from civil lawsuits as long as the conduct in question is within the outer perimeter of their official duties.
But precedent, norms, and the Constitution don’t matter to the Democrat judges in Washington, D.C.
Obama Judge Amit Mehta allowed a lawsuit by a group of Democrat lawmakers and Capitol Hill police officers to proceed against Trump even though the Supreme Court is currently hearing his appeal for Presidential immunity from criminal prosecution in Jack Smith’s 2020 election witch hunt.
Judge Mehta ruled that Trump must submit a “detailed description of the basis for his immunity defense” by May 1.
Mehta also wrote that it is “unlikely to make an immunity determination before the end of the Supreme Court’s term. Thus, if the Court’s ruling on criminal immunity is relevant to the outcome here, it can easily be applied.”
Trump’s lawyers argued that “both cases center on the former President’s actions in the lead up to and on January 6, 2021.”
Mehta disagreed by claiming that the “defendant overstates the significance of that factual overlap in the present posture of these matters.”
Mehta may be most anti-Trump judge in Democrat-dominated Washington, D.C.
Donald Trump has faced one hostile Democrat judge after another in Washington, D.C.
Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan made it clear that she plans to railroad him right to jail in Smith’s 2020 election show trial.
In previous January 6 cases, Chutkan declared that Trump was a criminal.
But Mehta takes a backseat to no one.
In a civil lawsuit against the leaders of the Proud Boys and Trump, Mehta essentially labeled him the leader of a plot to overthrow the government in a ruling where he denied a motion to dismiss the case.
“The court concludes that the Complaints establish a plausible conspiracy involving President Trump,” he wrote. “That civil conspiracy included the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers—and others who entered the Capitol on January 6 with the intent to disrupt the Certification of the Electoral College vote through force, intimidation, or threat.”
When Mehta sentenced John Lolos – who pleaded guilty to the nuisance charge of “parading” inside the Capitol – he launched into an unhinged rant where he hinted that Trump was the criminal mastermind behind Lolos’ action.
“The fact remains that he and others were called to Washington, D.C., by an elected official, prompted to walk to the Capitol by an elected official,” Mehta ranted. “People like Mr. Lolos were told lies, told falsehoods, told our election was stolen when it clearly was not. We’re here today deciding whether Mr. Lolos should spend 30 days in jail when those who created the conditions that led to Mr. Lolos’ conduct, led to the events of January 6, [haven’t been] held to account for their actions and their word.”
Thanks to hopelessly biased and partisan judges and juries, Democrats keep firing one court case against another after Trump in what amounts to “home games” for the Left.
