Jack Smith’s crusade to jail Donald Trump before the election suffered another blow.
Joe Biden isn’t going to be happy about this.
And that’s because Donald Trump found one smoking gun that destroyed Jack Smith’s criminal case.
Bombshell developments in Mar-a-Lago documents case
Judge Aileen Cannon releasing unredacted records in the Mar-a-Lago documents case continues to show the Biden administration’s shady conduct in the back and forth with Trump’s team over a dispute about document ownership.
The latest development came in emails from Biden administration officials revealing that the federal agencies were storing six boxes of Trump’s documents in a Virginia facility up to a year before the FBI raided Trump’s estate looking for classified documents.
“I understand that we are ready to ship,” Director of the Office of Portfolio Management and Real Estate’s Program Execution Division Kathy Geisler wrote in an August 26, 2021 email to Trump aide Beau Harrison. “I know that originally we had 3 pallets going to the storage unit — that is now 4 pallets going to the storage unit. 2 Pallets will go to Mar-a-Lago.”
Harrison wrote the previous month that the government needed to ship those boxes to Florida as “required to wind down the Office of the Former President or are items that are property of the Federal Government.”
Investigative journalist Julie Kelly outlined the significance of this discovery.
“GSA [Government Services Administration] worked with Trump’s transition team before and after he left office. GSA stored massive amounts of records in boxes then informed the transition team the boxes needed to be moved,” Kelly wrote.
Kelly wrote that the Biden administration went after Trump full bore without searching all of the documents in their own possession.
The raid at Mar-a-Lago may have resulted from the FBI hunting for documents that were in the government’s possession the whole time and only ended up in Trump’s home because the GSA shipped them there.
“There is no question many of these boxes ended up in the MAL storage room. And keep in mind NARA was harassing Trump throughout 2021 for what they insisted were government records apparently WITHOUT contacting GSA to search dozens of boxes in their possession,” Kelly added.
Is this more evidence of Biden administration collusion?
Kelly – as well as other Trump supporters – point to the constant stream of emails between NARA, the FBI, and the White House as evidence that this case was framed by Biden’s team.
NARA didn’t dispel that notion.
The Federalist contacted NARA to see if any of the classified documents seized by the FBI ended up in the indictment that Smith filed against Trump.
NARA responded that it had “no awareness about the contents of the materials on the pallets and had no involvement in the move project that is referenced in the GSA emails.”
This is a classic nondenial denial.
Judge Cannon has shown an increasing lack of patience with Jack Smith and his team.
Cannon ruled against Smith in key hearings about keeping evidence secret.
Judge Cannon has access to all of the evidence and the unredacted documents in this case.
And it’s very possible that her ability to see the whole picture led her to realize this indictment stinks to high heaven.
